10 Shows To Binge Watch This Winter

10 Shows To Binge Watch This Winter

They say stick to what your good at, and watching TV is definitely something I feel I excel at (especially during winter). So I’ve teamed up with TCL who gifted me their new C6 television that includes the latest in Android TV capabilities and Chromecast built-in so you can watch all your favourite shows from Stan & Netflix, as well as download apps right to your TV!

TCL’s C6 TV has a host of features, including sound by top audio leader, Harman Kardon, HDR Premium (a tech spec which produces high on screen detail!) and Wide Colour Gamut (basically expands the colour spectrum on the TV, it’s what you need for tip top picture quality)—and, best of all the C6 is TCL’s most stylish model yet. You can read more about it here. So I thought this was the perfect time to share with you my top ten shows to binge this winter on your favourite streaming service!!

Younger

If you, like me, were a 90’s kid then no doubt you were a massive Hilary Duff fan and still secretly think Lizzie McGuire is the best movie of all time! Well now you can get your Hilary fix on the show Younger! It’s sort of S&TC x Entourage vibes. Binge watch all 5 seasons on Stan.

Altered Carbon

I randomly clicked on this when it first came out and binged the whole first season. Available on Netflix, it was one that really got you thinking! It’s a dystopian science fiction series based on a novel of the same name.

Power

Another bing worthy series. Season 5 has just started on Stan. If you were a fan of Sons of Anarchy, then this will be right up your alley. It’s produced by 50 Cent, who also stars in the show.

Big Little Lies

If you hadn’t read the book like me either, then you’ll totally be on the end of your seat for this one! With possibly the most epic cast for a TV show ever, it’s a must watch! Watch it on Foxtel.

Westworld

Not going to lie, it’s an absolute mind fuck and I spend the end of each episode trying to Google what actually happened because you miss so much trying to work it all out but TOTALLY worth it!

Glow

If your a fan of the 80s you MUST watch GLOW. It’s based around the real life Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling. I actually cannot put into words why I loved this show so much, but it’s about 40% the outfits and 110% the music! Season 2 has just dropped on Netflix and you can watch the entire season.

Dynasty

If soap opera drama is your jam, then this is the TV show for you! A remake of the 1980s original – it’s addictive! Available on Netflix!

Ali Wong: Hard Knock Wife

Absolutely fucking hilarious. To all the mummas, it will have you wetting your pants in laughter, although if you’re a mum chances are it’s not that hard #pelvicfloorprobs.

UnReal

Ever wondered what happens behind the scenes of reality TV? Well apparently this is it – and I’m not surprised in the slightest! It’s so bad I spend most my time cringing but it’s gooooood TV! Available on Stan!

The Sinner

Oh. My. God! Talk about epic! I can usually pick an ending, but this was just a whole other level of WTF! I even watched it again a second time to pick up on what I missed. It’s about a woman who kills a man randomly at the beach one day. And rather than a “who did it?” it’s a “why she did it?” and it’s effing amazing! Also, Jessica Biel deserves an Oscar, her performance is brilliant! Find it on Netflix.

What’s on my list next: The Handmaid’s Tale, Nanette, Sharp Objects

What I couldn’t get into: Mindhunter, Legion, Peaky Blinders, 13 Reasons Why

Check out Star! I feel like you would like it! I’m in Canada and it’s in Netflix, not sure if it’s on Aussie Netflix.

The Handmaid take is intense. I can’t stop watching though. Keep at it you might loose interest a bit in the first season but the second is a killer!

The Handmaids Tale was epic!! I binged the entire first season in one weekend (when I was supposed to be packing to move house 🙊). I haven’t started season 2 yet as I’m a bit afraid of the emotional roller coaster. It is absolutely worth watching though!
