I think I get asked about a dozen times a day about Qantas Frequent Flyers and “How do I sign up?”. So I thought I would share with you a foolproof step-by-step, including how you can sign up for free (saving $99.50) and how to put it to good use.
I have already shared some tips for earning points and how best to redeem them. And you can read that here.
But to do that you need to join, so here are some tips…
This usually carries a $99.50 sign-up fee, but there are a number of ways to save yourself this fee.
The main one is to use your Woolworths Everyday Rewards, as you want to have this to be able to maximise your points. And I will pop some more detail about this below.
You can use this link here to sign up for free using Everyday Rewards.
While you are signing yourself up, make sure you also sign the kids up too.
The reason why is that only the person travelling can accrue the points from that flight. So for example, I cannot put my Frequent Flyer number against Teddy. She has to have her own to get those points.
You can, however, transfer points between family members once they have those points. So don’t let a single point go to waste.
It is also free for kids to sign up using this link here. And kids aged 3-11 who join the Frequent Flyer program receive a welcome pack, including their own Joey Club passport.
As I mentioned, you can use your Everyday Rewards card to save on the fee.
You can then shop with Woolworths to earn even more Qantas Points. With each ER point equating to .5 Qantas points. Used weekly on your shopping, this adds up quickly.
Simply log in to your Everyday rewards account and go to “redemption settings” and make sure you have Qantas Points selected. It looks like this…
One of the best ways to earn points every day is by using a Qantas Points earning Credit Card – especially if they have a great bonus point offer!
I have been using one for a few years now and recently switched to the Qantas American Express Ultimate card.
There is often a sign-up bonus offer, which you can check out if it works for you. Otherwise, check with your bank or do some research as to which card might suit you best (if at all).
You can check out all the perks and apply here.
If your looking to earn points in your sleep, then the Qantas Wellbeing app is your best friend. Literally, you are awarded points for sleeping. As well as moving.
It is that easy.
I have popped a link here you can use to download the app.
This is one I get asked about all the time. It is very similar to the Shoipback extension I have shared before. You can load it to Firefox, Chrome or Safari on any desktop.
When you search for something or shop on a site that offers points, it will notify you in the search or in the box in the right-hand top corner.
You can download it here.
