One of my most asked questions is how to earn Qantas Points and how I have earned so many! For me it’s making sure all my purchases are somehow earning me points, be it from my credit card or double dipping with other ways I can maximise those points.
So I have put together a list of the top ten ways you can easily just set and forget by signing up for partner programs and linking accounts to get those bonus points!!

An obvious one! You can earn Qantas Points by booking flights with Qantas or their partner airlines. The number of points earned depends on the distance travelled and the fare class booked and distance travelled.

Every person in your travel party, including kids, can earn their own points and status credits per flight, so make sure you add everyone’s frequent flyer number.
Many banks offer credit cards that are affiliated with Qantas. These cards allow you to earn Qantas Points on your everyday spending. Some cards may even offer bonus points for signing up.
My personal preference is the Amex Qantas Platinum as I use this often for booking travel and travel-related items. Also great when travelling overseas.
This means every purchaser you make with your Qantas earning card earns you points!!
Qantas has a shopping portal that partners with various online retailers. By starting your online shopping from the Qantas Shopping portal, you can earn points on your purchases.
I use the Google Chrome extension called Points Prompter to alert me when a website has points on offer, you can shop via their website and click through!
If you use this plus your points-earning credit card, it’s a great way to double dip and earn bulk points!!
Qantas has a wellbeing app that rewards you with points for maintaining a healthy lifestyle. There are daily and weekly targets for moving, plus some other activities you can complete to earn extra points!!
It’s a set-and-forget way to easily add points to your balance every day!! You can also invite friends for extra points!!

When you shop at participating Woolworths supermarkets and scan your Everyday Rewards card, you can earn Everyday Rewards points based on your spending.
Make sure you have opted for ‘Converting to Qantas Points’. Once you accumulated a certain number of Everyday Rewards points, you had the option to convert them into Qantas Points. The conversion rate is 2,000 Everyday Rewards points to 1,000 Qantas Points.
I like to make sure I optimise my points by using Boosted Offers and also have the Everyday Extra membership. This helps to significantly boost the number of points per shop!
In the last year, I earned an extra 22,000+ points using this!! I earn 1000 points in almost every shop at Woolworths (and I don’t always shop at Woolies)!!

Qantas is my go-to for booking hotels and Airbnb, as you can earn significant points on your bookings. Some hotel chains and accommodation providers partner with Qantas to offer points for your stays, like Accor and Luxury Escapes. Make sure you have your account linked with these partners when making bookings!

Qantas Frequent Flyer members can link and scan their card with hundreds of partners including Hoyts and The Athletes Foot!!
There are often bonus point offers, and this is a great way to make some extra points on your everyday spending!!

Link your Qantas Frequent Flyer account to your BP Rewards account. This enabled you to earn Qantas Points for your BP purchases.
When you fueled up or made purchases at participating BP service stations and scanned your BP Rewards card or Qantas Frequent Flyer card, you earned Qantas Points based on the amount you spent. Points can be typically earned on both fuel and eligible in-store purchases.
Occasionally, there might have been special promotions or offers that allowed you to earn extra Qantas Points when you met specific spending thresholds or purchased certain products.
The BPme app can conveniently link your BP Rewards and Qantas Frequent Flyer accounts, making it easier to earn points while refuelling.
Don’t have to tell me twice! Stock the wine cupboard and earn bonus points and even status when you tick of green tier!
There are often bonus offers so keep an eye out for an epic boost in points!!
Plus, when you make Points Club or Points Club Plus with Qantas, you get a Qantas Wine voucher!!
There is great bonus sign-up offers for Qantas Car and Home Insurance. However, if this isn’t suitable for you. You can still earn points for getting a quote, well worth it!!
