As you guys know I am the queen of rewards programs. But did you know that combined I can sometimes make over $1,500 a month back from using them?
Be it cashback programs or redeeming points for goods. Using these programs can absolutely work to your advantage!!
Having little promoters and changing your spending habits can make these programs pay off big time for you. And help top up the kitty or grow that rainy day fund for you outside of your weekly wage.
Here are the top programs I use and how I have them ticking over to build.
If you are a Woolie shopper like me then you have multiple ways you can earn and save when you use your Everyday Rewards card.
I have mine set to Qantas Points, which makes it harder to track a dollar value. But you can also get $$$ off your shop and fuel.
From converted Qantas points in January, we used our points (there are epic specials atm with bonus points and discounted stays) and booked two nights worth $660 with just our points!!
Speaking of points! I also have a points earning credit card so we are also earning points on our everyday spends.
Plus I always look for any ways to earn bonus points. In January, we insured a new car and got a bonus 40,000 points!!
Just to put that in perspective, you can currently get a one-way fare from Melbourne to Perth for 18,000 points (value $453).
And as mentioned above, we use points to cover the cost of accommodation as well.

I absolutely LOVE Shopback!! I have been using it for over two years now and make sure I use it for every single online purchase I can.
I always check the app or Google Chrome extension to see who has the best cashback offers and ALWAYS use it when booking travel when I can as this is where I find I make the best cashbacks.
I will also wait to make a purchase if I can until that store has a bonus cash back offer!! Might as well maximise the cashback you can make where you can.
I also love shopback as it can be deposited directly into your account and I use mine as a Christmas fund. Last year I got back almost $1,500. Set to already be much more this year as new retailers and bigger offers come through!
In January, I made $397.05 back from spending with Shopback. This was from regular spending, travel, and several referral signups.

This is a new one I have been using, and I really love it for a few reasons.
Firstly, you can earn cash back in the form of PayPal money or gift cards. But it also helps you to reduce your overall electricity usage and bills.
Each week you are given a “spike” hour that they want you to beat your projected usage on. If you hit that target and based on how much, you earn points.
While it isn’t a huge amount we are making ($36 last month). The savings we have made from reducing our projected electricity bill has been huge.
Our last quarter saw us come in $280 less than expected!! I highly recommend this one if you are an Origin customer!!

This one is an old faithful!
I have had a PSC card for years and it absolutely does pay off. I buy all my cosmetics, personal care and medical products when I can from PRiceline. Not to mention when you shop online, they have SHOPBACK!!
In January, I got $34 off my purchases! It isn’t always a lot but it does add up!! Plus it is such an easy one.
Like I mentioned before with Shopback. You can make money by sharing codes and inviting friends to use apps and services and be rewarded with cashback!!
I use this on our Spriggy account. Where we get a $5 signup when we share the code. This money goes directly to Annabelle as it is her card. But she has made over $400 in the last year, which we move to the savings account on her card.
I have also gained over 500,000 Qantas points from sharing signups for American Express and Qantas Wellbeing.
It’s not something I do proactively, they’re just offers I have within my highlights if people want to use them but if you have friends and family who are interested, just copy and paste the codes and share via socials or with friends.
Overall, in the month of January our cashback, cash off, and points redemption totaled over $1,500 in value. Which are thousands I could have said goodbye to every year if I wasn’t using any of these programs!!
