As you guys know, 2020 was my year that I wanted to focus on waste reduction around me. I’m referring to everything from finances to time, and of course food waste, in our household.
So I wanted to share with you some simple and creative ways to use up leftovers over Easter.
So, if you’re like me, then you can’t help but grab Hot Cross Buns the second they come on the shelves every Easter. My go-to? Choc Chip!!
These are perfect for a quick and easy dessert, just mix up the ingredients below and pour them over your Hot Cross Buns in a ceramic dish.
- 6-pack Hot Cross Buns
- 2 x Free Range Eggs
- 200ml Thickened Cream
- 40g Coconut Sugar
- 40ml Light Milk
- Sprinkle of Cinnamon
Place all your hot cross buns, cut up into 4, around a ceramic bowl. Mix all the above and pour-over.
After it is all mixed, let it soak for 5 minutes. Then place in the oven and bake on 180 degrees for 25 minutes. Enjoy!
